The Coalition Of United Political Parties, CUPP, has retreated President Muhammadu Buhari and the Police Service Commission to court.
The court action was staged Contrary to Buhari and PSC over alleged plot to prolong the tenure of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris, by six months.
The conclusion of the governmental Parties had been declared in a media conference at Owerri, the Imo State capital on Thursday.
Speaking by its National Spokesperson, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, CUPP pointed out that the resistance Parties were well informed that President Buhari desires the IGP to perform more six months.

IGP Idris assumed to move on Retirement on January 15.

CUPP stated,”The IGP, that had been born On January 15, 1959, and that by January 2019 will turn 60 and thus Ceases to be a police officer can not be reappointed because IGP in breach of this Constitutional provision that clearly stipulates that just serving authorities Officers must be appointed.
“It’s based on that the Lawsuit is seeking a court announcement that IGP Idris isn’t qualified to stay in Office after January 15, 2019, with achieved the retirement age of 60.
“Additionally, for an order restraining President Muhammadu Buhari out of reappointing or expanding the tenure of the IGP Past January 15, 2019.
“The Problem of the retirement of The IGP is still another ethics evaluation to the president. From the terms of Section 215(1)(a)of the 1999 constitution, the IGP could simply be appointed from Among serving officers.
“Any effort to move with the Plan for the key extension of the tenure of the IGP will be Unconstitutional, unlawful and unacceptable and can further heating up the polity. It Is Going to also further introduce the President’s desperation to acquire the elections by foul means.
“Credible intelligence in the Entry of this resistance has demonstrated that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, the governors of both Kano and Kaduna States, the Minister of Transport and Minister Lai Muhammad and Senator Godswill Akpabio among others would be the main proponents of the Unconstitutional action and we counsel them to employ restraint and desist from any Additional action with potential to dive Nigeria into catastrophe.”
